Gestation
Want more posts on this website? Contribute now! And also, be patient. This is a time of gestation. We are understaffed and underbudgeted. So we’re working on things that will pay off in the long run. But immediate gratification will have to wait. Sorry for the inconvenience! A couple of things I will mention:
Time of Flight detectors have been set up, both near and far. Let’s rephrase. Near Time of Flight Detector and Far Time of Flight Detector have been set up. This would be easier to explain with pictures.
We got a new camera (John left and took his camera with him), so have resumed with the pictures. Hours of fun! Interesting shots of the plates and the effects of the switch problem. More to take.
Of course, pictures would be more useful if we uploaded them. What we need is some cheap labor to exploit! No interns have applied yet, so please stand by.
And, the good news, for me at least, is that I am not irradiated. Per the monthly dosimeter report, I have ND radiation - not detectable. The control picked up 13 mrems, and the notification threshold is deep-1250, shallow-125000. 2-4 orders of magnitude. What a relief.
