Mark your calendars for the annual meeting of the Focus Fusion Society!
The mission of the Focus Fusion Society is to bring people together to pursue the dream of safe, clean, affordable, abundant energy from aneutronic fusion, to ensure that the ensuing technology is made available to everyone, and to foster a pro-research ethic and pro-fusion culture.
The Focus Fusion Society will collaborate with other fusion organizations and outreach groups to develop, license and market fusion-themed consumer products (FTCP’s).
The products will be designed in connection with broader fusion re-branding, cultural and policy campaigns. The products will promote a pro-research ethic, foster pro-fusion culture and have PR, educational and social currency value. They may also provide an additional revenue stream for fusion energy research.
The Focus Fusion Society is a membership organization. Dues-paying members are the backbone of the organization. Your dues help to support us as we develop and implement the strategic plan, the website, educational materials and more!
The Focus Fusion Society is seeking a few good Board Members (at least 7) to sit on our Board of Directors. This is an unpaid position. The job description is below. As for application procedure, anyone interested in taking on the awesome responsibility of a board member should send me a note of interest (Rezwan at focusfusion dot org). I’ll call a meeting of those interested - via webinar, and we’ll discuss it as a group and see how to proceed. There will likely be a membership vote for the final selection since this is a group decision.
Some of you have noticed that the “aneutronic fusion peace symbol” we use on our site is sometimes rotated. When this happens, don’t be alarmed! It’s not “upside down”, it’s “arms upward.” It is well in keeping with the glorious tradition of the symbol.
The Focus Fusion Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization located in New Jersey. Our mission is to bring people together to pursue the dream of safe, clean, affordable, abundant energy from aneutronic fusion, to ensure that the ensuing technology is made available to everyone, and to foster a pro-research ethic and pro-fusion culture.
We are a unique organization. Our vitality comes from our members. If you have joined our ranks, you are one of the pioneering people in the world who is intrigued by the possibilities of fusion, and undaunted by the challenges.
The global warming debate that has dominated our forum posts is distracting from the Focus Fusion Mission. It will hereby be capped by Monday, June 7, 2010.
The ultimate goal of the Focus Fusion Society is to help bring about safe, clean, abundant, ideal energy for everyone. But what, exactly, do we DO toward that end?
How are the Focus Fusion Society (FFS) and Lawrenceville Plasma Physics (LPP) related?
The Focus Fusion Society (FFS) is a membership organization and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity that seeks to turn the dream of safe, cheap, clean, unlimited energy from aneutronic nuclear fusion into a practical reality, to do it now, and to ensure that this technology is made available to all mankind.
