Equipment and software arrives
We have now received the first batch of equipment and software for our laboratory/office in Middlesex NJ. We installed the complete office part of the facility, with four cubicles and four computers and have transferred our files to the new office.
The first of the scientific equipment has also arrived including the x-ray lens and three oscilloscopes. These scopes will together have 12 channels each collecting and digitizing data every half-nanosecond. We have tested the scopes and they are functioning well.
We have also purchased Solid Works software, which is a computer aided design package that we will use to design the vacuum chamber, the support structure and any custom fixtures we will need for the instrumentation.
The switches and the buswork—metal plates that connect them to the electrodes—are now being fabricated and we are still on schedule to getting all the equipment by June 1, when we will start to assemble everything into the DPF.
